Los Angeles-based singer/songwriter, Griffith James teams up with Tennis for the new single, “Market and Black.” Despite the acoustic guitar backbone and the lyrics described as “a rumination on separation and loss, a melancholy flashback to childhood fevers and full-blown hallucinations,” the track is surprisingly upbeat. With dueling male/female vocals over a shuffling beat, the song is reminiscent of Peter Bjorn & John‘s “Young Folks” sans whistling.
