San Pedro duo, The Habits are preparing to release their new EP What’s The Worst That Could Happen on October 23. Surviving the Golden Age is excited to premiere their new single, “Shoulders.”
Mixing elements of power pop and synth pop, the song sounds somewhere between Ozma and Neon Trees. For a song so poppy, “Shoulders” shows unusual lyrical depth. Vocalist/guitarist Wolf Bradley sings about bumping into an ex and realizing that he’s thought he was missing her but really he was missing the company. He is learning to find self-worth not through a relationship but through himself and that’s an important lesson for us all.
