Portland, OR’s Havania Whaal released their new single, “Wig Chat” back on April 17th. Surviving the Golden Age is excited to premiere the video for the track.
The duo had a talk show hosted exclusively on Instagram stories called Wig Chat for a short while; the music video features some of the best moments from the show. That means that there are plenty of cameos in the video including one from The Flaming Lips‘ Wayne Coyne. The track itself doesn’t sound much like The Flaming Lips. Between the driving drums, siren guitars, and urgent female vocals, the track is reminiscent of bands like The Julie Ruin or Sleater-Kinney.
