Kansas City’s Heads or Heads is preparing to release his new album, Low Angles on May 1st. The latest single is “Climbing Up,” an ode to Los Angeles. Heads or Heads mastermind Alex Harbolt explains, “I grew up in rural Missouri and always wondered what places like LA would be like – it’s sort of been a dream to live there for a while now.” The track captures the city’s past while incorporating its modernity. Quick string hits and a four-on-the-floor beat are reminiscent of 70s disco while the creeping synth bass and bouncing vocal echoes show off modern electro techniques.
