Interpol are preparing to release their sixth studio album, Marauder on August 24th. The album’s second single, “Number 10” is a little bit cheeky. As the title suggests, it is the 10th track on the album but it also tells the story of a secret office romance. The romance isn’t quite as playful as Belle and Sebastian’s “Step Into My Office, Baby.” There is an anxiety to the lyrics which the instrumental matches with driving drums and a wall-of-guitar sound. It will be interesting to see how it compares to the rest of the album.
