California-based producer, James Fasa just released his new single, “Funky Jaxx.” The track is essentially a cover of Basement Jaxx‘s “Where’s Your Head At?” but in Fasa’s own nu disco and French touch style. Fasa said “I’m a 90s kid so MTV was always my go to for music; I was quick to fall in love with the early scene of funk inspired electronic music. The likes of Gorillaz, Daft Punk, The Chemical Brothers and in the midst of so many talented creators held Basement Jaxx. In particular, their track ‘Where’s Your Head At?’ I was at the prime teen age to be addicted to this track and as I grew feeling musically inclined to produce my own music I wanted to attempt my twist to this growing electronic classic.”
