John Dillon are a band not a person. Hailing from Seattle, the band’s new album The Lost Estate will be out on vinyl and digital formats on March 25th. Surviving the Golden Age is excited to premiere the album’s latest single, “The Fox.” The track mixes vintage aesthetics with modern dream pop. It is reminiscent of Edwyn Collins‘ “A Girl Like You” with a sci-fi tilt. Perhaps most amazing is that band leader, Dillon Sturtevant says he had the entire arrangement in his head very early in the songwriting process. Of the song he said “That song, and the moment in which it was created, marked a shift for me. I felt like I’d found a way, through that song, to write for myself and for other people, without compromise. It’s nearly 3 years old now, and thankfully it’s still a fun song to play.”
