Seattle’s Josh Jensen released his latest album, Moon Time back in 2022. Surviving the Golden Age is excited to premiere his follow up single, “Lost in the Sound.”
Jensen explains “I wrote this song after my wife was diagnosed and treated for breast cancer. I wrote it for my kids, to help them understand that while experiencing life to the fullest is so important, one should always hold your family and community close.”
The track is melancholic but hopeful. It features Jensen on acoustic guitar, piano, and vocals while producer Luke Rain fills out the arrangement on bass and percussion. The arrangement still feels fairly sparse, giving the lyrics space to breathe and the rawness of the emotion to come through.
