Germany-based artist, Just Honest just released their new single, “fuck you song.” Although not directly a response to GAYLE’s “abcdefu,” they do note it as one of the “endless number of fuck you songs abundant in our culture.” Just Honest also said the song is their first “with explicit lyrics and I feel thankful for this to Olivia Rodrigo whose explicit album made me feel liberated.” But the Olivia Rodrigo influences isn’t just in the lyrics, the song also shows a rockier side of Just Honest, reminiscent of “Good 4 U” or Paramore obviously.
