Los Angeles-born, New York-based Kacey Fifield recently released her Nostalgia Haunts Me EP. The single, “Left Behind” begins with just Fifield and her guitar. It is a bit of a head fake into making you think the song will be typical singer/songwriter fair. After 40 seconds, when the chorus hits, Fifield is joined by shimmering synths and kick drum. The post-chorus is when the song really explodes with chopped up vocals, piano, and full electronic drums joining. It makes for a dynamic, danceable track.
