Bristolian band, Knives just released their first single of 2024, “Doppelgänger.” The follow up to last September’s “Babooshka,” the post-punk track features chugging bass, dissonant guitars, and noisy drums. The lyrics, about queerbaiting tactics for financial gain, are dripping with vitriol in lead singer Jay Schottlander’s distinctive shout like that of a town crier.
