Late last month, the Knocks released their first single of 2019, “Awa Ni.” The track mixed elements of afrobeat and 90s house to create a festival ready summer banger. The duo just dropped the James Hype remix of the track. Hype takes “Awa Ni” in a new direction. There is a definitive 90s feel to the track but its more techno than house. With its uhn-tiss-uhn-tiss-uhn-tiss beat and bouncing bass synth, James Hype’s remix is darker than the original but no less fun.
