Last May, Libretto & Vitamin D released their Rusty Bladez album via Liquid Beat Records. A year later, producer Theory Hazit is releasing six remixes of tracks from the album. The original “Smokey Robinson’s Hands” featured fuzzed out bass over a boom bap beat. Theory Hazit‘s rework takes a jazzier approach with off kilter drums and warbling music box instrumental. It sounds like a vinyl copy of Dilla’s “The Light” instrumental got warped in the sun.
