Sydney, Australia band, Lucid Hoops are preparing to release their new EP, Diviner later this year. The latest single from the EP is “Night Time.” Opening with a guitar riff that sounds like the cousin to Guns N’ Roses‘ “Sweet Child O’ Mine,” driving drums propel the song forward with a nervous energy. Lead singer, Ash Gee’s vocals are reminiscent of Tragic Kingdom-era Gwen Stefani as she sings from “the perspective of someone who refuses to be used for just a sexual encounter anymore.” She continues “they’re self-aware that this person only wants one thing from them and they’ve had enough of being used.”
