London/Iceland duo, Lúlla are preparing to release their new album, Winter In The City in October. They describe their music as melancholic synth pop for lonely lovers as the lead single “Only You” bears out. Surviving the Golden Age is excited to premiere Aux tha Masterfader remix of the track. “Only You” seems a little less melancholic with a slightly faster tempo and the strong synth bass line.
Some 80’s style breakbeats really solidify the retro-future sound of the track. You could Aux tha Masterfader’s remix sandwiched between Herbie Hancock’s “Rocket” and Afrika Bambaataa‘s “Planet Rock” and no one would bat an eye.
