Boston-based rapper, M-Dot is preparing to release his new album, Ego and the Enemy on January 27th. The latest single from the album is “Chrissy.” The track showcases M-Dot’s storytelling ability as he weaves a tale about a troubled young girl as she finds herself disenchanted and inevitably trapped in a bleak world eclipsed in misery. Lyrically the track is somewhere between Eminem‘s “Stan” and Aesop Rock‘s “No Regrets.” Musically, producer Buckwild create a dissonant beat which mirrors the “Chrissy”‘s dark lyrics.
