Italian-German producer Maxé and Berlin-based singer-songwriter Lara Samira team up to cover, Chris Isaak‘s 1989 hit, “Wicked Game.” Interpolating the iconic opening guitar riff into something a little bouncier, the track is immediately recognizable while still being jarringly different. Samira’s vocals soar on the chorus over thumping kick drums and bassy brass accents. It makes Maxé and Lara Samira’s update feel like a welcome addition to the plethora of “Wicked Game” covers.
