Imagine Kaki King and Four Tet worked on an album together. The result might sound something like Mosaics. Devon Kelts and Tyler Hill who met while studying classical music at Loyola Marymount University, mix percussive guitar and experimental production to create a unique sonic landscapes. Surviving the Golden Age is pleased to premiere Mosaics’ newest sonic creation, “Recursive.” The use of unconventional percussion and time signatures makes the song feel difficult but Grady Lee’s vocals pulls the track together giving it a warm familiarity. Following in the footsteps of Alt-J, Mosaics maybe the next surprise hitmakers. Just remember where you heard them first.
Beautiful song! Def my favorite from you guys yet. I can’t wait to see a live show of you all soon! – @Justroc
