Los Angeles rapper, Owl Green is preparing to release his new EP. Surviving the Golden Age is excited to premiere the album’s latest single, “Spend That.”
After moving to Los Angeles from the bay area, Owl Green raps about living in the city after the initial endorphins wear off. He raps “Live in LA, always in a rush/ Long as my rent’s on time, I don’t really worry about much” and if you know LA, that rent is expensive. Green explains “its about the money, butto grind and be in the present. Whether that’s a night out, a party in the hills or spending time with a loved one.” The struggle to ball on a budget while not agonizing over money lost is real and “Spend That” summarizes it nicely.
