Premiere: Parkland “Good Stuff”

Canadian band, Parkland is preparing to release their self-titled debut album on November 4th. Surviving the Golden Age is excited to premiere the new single from the LP, “Good Stuff.”

With jangly guitars and hushed vocals over shuffling drums, you can hear elements of bands like the Microphones or Mice Parade on the verses. Slide guitar gives the chorus a bit of an Americana feel.

Lead singer, Will Quiring said “‘Good stuff’ was the song that took us the longest to write, but I think collectively, it’s our favourite song as a band. It went through a bunch of versions, from being a slow 6/8 burn, to a totally stripping it down, to eventually landing on what it is now.” He adds “Our drummer Jeff said the song makes him feel like putting on some white Oakley’s, cargo shorts, and trying to fight his way to the front of warped tour crowd to watch Our Lady Peace. I don’t think I can describe it much better than that.”
