Pawl is preparing to release their new concept album, Motel on April 17th. The album is “about growing up at a roadside motel in a small town,” according to the band. The new single “Small Town” is the statement of purpose for the album. With finger-picked guitars, honky tonk piano, and shuffling drums, the track is reminiscent of bands like the Long Winters or the Decemberists especially when you take into account the storytelling lyrics.
