Montreal duo, Petrol Taste released their debut EP, Us and the New Moons on Boxing Day. The EP’s highlight track is “Lucky Fire.” The track’s retro synth sounds are reminiscent of Madonna‘s “Open Your Heart” while the general tempo and dreamy vocals are more similar to Cocteau Twins. While those might both be 80s references, the sound is still very modern and slick.
