Premiere: Kramies “4:44am”

On September 9th, Kramies released his self-titled LP. Surviving the Golden Age is excited to premiere the video for the album’s closing track, “4:44am.”

Produced by Derek Lee Lajoie, the video depicts a young woman exploring the world on foot. She walks through a forest, on a beach, in a city and on the edge of a cliff all the while Kramies soundtracks it. The song’s lyrics are ripe with pensive longing and the first two minutes’ sparse instrumental makes the woman’s solo travel seem lonely. As drums and more instruments enter for the song’s second half, there is seemingly more joy; she splashes in water of the incoming tide, she drinks coffee on a veranda while Kramies sings “baby while you’re alone will you please enjoy yourself.”
