It is crazy to think how many states in the union have never had a song written about their women and yet California has throngs of them. The latest comes from duo, The Private Language. The group which consists of singer Blake Lewis and drummer/producer KJ Sawka just released “Cali Girls,” a funk, futuristic track reminiscent of artists like Chromeo or Janelle Monae. With a pulsating bed of synth backdrop, “Cali Girls” balances a retro-future pathos with modern EDM twists to create a fun, breezy banger.
