Don’t confuse PBS with Public Service Broadcasting; they are not the same thing. PBS is fighting to keep their public funding while PSB is preparing to release their album, Inform Educate Entertain. The album’s latest single is “Theme From PSB.” The track is mostly an instrument with vocals sampled from various newscasts of people saying the words “public,” “service,” and “broadcasting.” The instrumental itself goes through waves. At first it features driving live drums with what sounds like banjo noodling and some brief saxophone hits. Later in the track it gets a little more electronic based with bleeping synths.
