Many mashups focus heavily on modern EDM backdrops with hip hop or pop vocals. Rhythm Scholar go old school for their latest mashup, “1, 2, 3, 4 (Good Times),” taking Coolio‘s 1995 single “1, 2, 3, 4 (Sumpin’ New)” and mixing it with Chic‘s classic “Good Times.” Considering how often “Good Times” is sampled for hip hop and EDM, it’s no surprise that Coolio’s fun loving flow goes over it perfectly. The track runs a little long at nearly seven minutes, but it still is a fantastic voyage.
