A month after the release of their collaborative album, RJD2 and STS have delivered a new b-side, “High Life.” On the track STS raps “what I really want is a crib on the beach, Robin Leach/Lifestyles of the Rich and Famous and the elite.” What this made me wonder is how long has it been since Lifestyles of the Rich and Famous has been on the air. It turns out, the program was off television by 1995. How is it still getting name checked in hip hop?!?!?
