Austin, TX based singer/songwriter, Robert LaRoche is preparing to release his new album, Forevermore on September 19th. Surviving the Golden Age is excited to premiere the new single “Steal Your Heart.”
With an acoustic backbone and drenched in electric slide guitar, the track mixes elements of alt-country, folk, and pop rock. It reminds me of artists like Gin Blossoms or the Refreshments which makes sense considering LaRoche was the frontman for power pop band The Sighs during throughout most of the 90s. Clearly his ear for pop hasn’t faded and neither has his penchant for sweeping guitar arpeggios, both are in full force on “Steal Your Heart.”
