Australian trio, San Cisco will be releasing their new album, Between You and Me on September 4th. The latest single from the album is “Messages.” Mixing elements of synth pop, twee, and indie rock, the track is full of surprises. Just when you think you have it pegged as one genre there is a synth horn solo reminiscent of Capital Cities‘ “Safe And Sound” and then the song closes on a bluesy guitar solo. The weirdest part of the genre hopping is that it all works thanks to the song’s infection energy and Scarlett Stevens’ lead vocals.
