Ever since Common‘s 1994 single “I Used to Love H.E.R.,” there have been a litany of songs using the acronym (which essentially means hip hop). The latest in this litany is Portland emcee, Serge Severe on the Zapata-produced “Treat H.E.R. Right.” The track has a definitely mid-90s hip hop feel.
