The Shakin’ Nightmares “Riding Away”

Northern England’s The Shakin’ Nightmares just released their new single, “Riding Away.” Mixing driving drums, distorted vocals, and noisy guitars, the track has a early to mid-2000s garage rock revival sound. Perhaps it is not a surprise then that the song was actually written in a garage. “I wrote this in my garage during lockdown in March 2020 just after half the band quit,” said vocalist/guitarist Ryan Pilot. “We recorded drums in a studio and the rest in a tiny rented office,” and that DIY ethics can be heard in the raw sound of “Riding Away.”
