New Jersey slack rockers, Spook Houses are preparing to release a split 7″ with Fat History Month. For their part, Spook Houses contribute “Living the Dream.” The track was conceived long distance between band members while away at college. Because of that, the song does not contain the traditional tempo changing of the band–instead the song is slack all the way. Built around a lofi acoustic guitar recording and vocals somewhere between speaking and singing, the track sounds like Neutral Milk Hotel fronted by Stephen Malkmus.
