St. Louis’ Starwolf just released a new single, “Tropical Disco.” The track is not deceptively titled; it is, in fact, a tropical sounding disco song. Reminiscent of Van McCoy’s “The Shuffle” or Klaus Wunderlich’s “Let’s Do the Latin Hustle,” the instrumental mixes elements of disco and funk. Unlike many disco classics of bygone days, it features a sitar solo which feels mildly out of place but just adds to the intrigue of the song.
