Knoxville singer/songwriter, Amy Jane Greene aka A K J messaged Thillia for a permission to do a guitar-centered cover of his single, “Mister Brighttime.” Surprisingly the emo rapper got back to her and not only gave her permission but wanted to hear it. After he heard it, he invited A K J to come to LA and create a complete redux of the song. The result is a much needed estrogen boost to the original. The guitar really cements the emo feel of the original and A K J’s vocals force Thillia to rap in a higher register and I think it sounds better for it.
