The latest toucan sounds single, “m.p.b.” has an interesting concept: it is a recreation of Frankie Knuckles’ classic remix of Womack & Womack’s “Missin’ Persons Bureau.” You don’t often see classic house tracks getting covered because they’re made up of electronic drums and samples. In this case, toucan sounds and Pink Flamingo Rhythm Revue actually remade the samples from scratch and then sped them up so its almost like they are remixing their own cover of “Missin’ Persons Bureau.”
