Brooklyn’s Tuff Sunshine released their single, “Elevator Eyes” last month. The track has an off-kilter freak folk sound reminiscent of Mellow Gold-era Beck mixed with 60s Bob Dylan. The lyrics have an obtuse storyteller quality to them with lots of retro words and phrasing like “hurley-burley” and “wimple.” It makes for a fun and interesting jaunt.
