Varley “The Pressure”

Berlin-based trio, Varley just released their new single, “The Pressure.” Mixing elements of indie pop and surf rock, the track features reverbed guitars over syncopated bass and steady drums. Dublin-born lead singer, Claire-Ann described the song as “the feeling of the pressure rising, feeling your cheeks turning red and wishing you could turn back the clocks and just not say anything at all.” She continues “I spend a lot of time in my head, replaying and rewriting certain social situations. It’s a bit of a vicious cycle because the more you start thinking about these things, the less you want to put yourself out there,” a sentiment many with social anxiety can sympathize with.
