Amanda Palmer & The Grand Theft Orchestra “Do It With a Rockstar”
No one does music videos boarding on porn better than Wayne Coyne. He teams up with Amanda Palmer for the second time (the first was “The First Time Ever I Saw Your Face”) for her new video “Do It With a Rockstar.” As you may expect the video is filled with debauchery, nudity, glitter, and general NSFW-ness. My favorite part of the video is not the nudity but rather when Amanda Palmer is accused of being a klan member.

Ke$ha “Die Young”
The hot mess that is Ke$ha dropped her new music video for “Die Young.” The track has sky rocketed to the number one most played song on Spotify taking over for “Gangnum Style.” Like the “Gangnum Style” video, I have no idea what is going on in “Die Young.” Ke$ha arrives at a church in a hearse. Inside the church there are upside down crosses and pentagrams. Ke$ha proceeds to roll around on a mattress on the floor in lingerie. Police come and surround the church and the video culminates with Ke$ha surrendering. It makes me wonder if this is a play on the whole Pussy Riot situation in Russia. There are similarities but I don’t think Ke$ha is the heady type of artist for parables.

Tame Impala “Feels Like We Only Go Backwards”
Joe Pelling and Becky Sloan direct the new video for Tame Impala’s “Feels Like We Only Go Backwards.” The video is basically a kaleidoscope of stop motion images. There is one set of images that reminds me of the slurms from Eureeka’s Castle so be on the lookout for that.

Kid Cudi “Just What I Am”
Kid Cudi makes his music video directorial debut on his latest “Just What I Am.” Kid Cudi presents us a proposition: would everything be different if we saw it through a gold plated picture frame? It turns out, no. The video ends up looking like a pretty typical rap video just with an odd never changing border around it.

Mercury Prize winners, Alt-J release their video for “Fitzpleasure,” their first since picking up the honor. Instead of just filming themselves holding the award, they film four guys on a football field going nuts. I might not watch this video if you are squeamish; bodies are not meant to bend the way these guys are bending.
