There is some humorous but poignant banter before “Some Days” begins where the members of Vixen77 discuss the backing vocals, saying “it’s not sexual, it’s an angry ‘oh yeah’.” It is an important distinction to make for the all-female punk band, that their words should not be sexualized by those in the group or by those who hear it. The band runs through the rest of the track like bats out of hell. Reminiscent of bands like the Lunachicks or the Runaway, there is a solid mix of snottiness and catchiness.
“Some Days” is the latest single from the band’s upcoming album, Easy Access on October 7th via Megaforce Records.
