Earlier this year, Brooklyn artist Yellow Shoots released his Stormy Weather EP with a promise of a debut full album being released later in the year. Surviving the Golden Age is excited to premiere the first look at the full-length with the single “Make It to the Summer.”
Stormy Weather showed Yellow Shoots ability to meld R&B, electro, and soul. “Make It to the Summer” shows continues his natural progression. The track has neo soul sound with some psychedelic elements. It sounds somewhere between new Childish Gambino and Tame Impala. It’s funky, trippy, and danceable. Perfect song for the heat of summer.
