“I am the anxious generation because of that I’m on a heavy dose of Lexipro” is how Tasmanian quartet A. Swayze & the Ghosts kick off their new single, “Connect To Consume.” With their darkly insouciant lyrics and sloppy garage band style, it is easy to draw comparisons to blog darlings like Parquet Courts. The Hobart natives have amassed a fierce live following over the past two years thanks to their raw, bold and wild shows. It will be interesting to see if they can make a dent here in America because their sound makes me think, they should be able to do it.
