St Paul’s Hippo Campus are preparing to release their third album, appropriately titled LP3 on February 4th. They just released the third single from the album called “Ride Or Die.” Between the unique rhythm of the track and Jake Luppen’s occasional use of falsetto vocals, it is easy to draw comparisons to Vampire Weekend or the Dirty Projectors. While early last decade that might have been a problem, not having had a new VW album in three years, “Ride Or Die” feels like a breath of fresh indie rock air.
