Brooklyn collective, Holy Hand Grenade just released their new single, a cover of Mulatu Astatke‘s “Yekermo Sew.” You don’t have to be a fan of the original to enjoy the cover; Like any jazz standard, Holy Hand Grenade gives the Ethio-jazz number a makeover with baritone saxophone taking the lead over Afrobeat drums. A wah-wah soaked guitar solo is one of the highlights of the track.
