Detroit-born, Atlanta-based rapper, MRK SX just released his new single, “Zen.” Over a jazzy hip hop beat, MRK SX spits two verses about Ubering. In the first verse, he is an Uber passenger and on the second, he is the Uber driver. In both cases, it is interesting how he ties the human connection of being in the car with another person to creating life within himself and reaching “Zen.” MRK SX’s two verses sandwich a verse by former Slum Village rapper, Elzhi. With no mention of Uber, Elzhi’s verse feels a little out of place but he does have more generalized thoughts about reaching Zen including meditating and sobriety.
