Saucers Over Washington is the new project of Grizzly Atoms singer-songwriter/guitarist, Nik Sidella. Their debut single, “Insomnia” mixes elements of 90s alternative rock, shoegaze, and 70’s psychedelia. The heavy opening chorus may remind you of Hum’s “Stars,” but the verse quickly turns into a spacey jam more akin to the Flaming Lips. The juxtaposition between the two dynamics makes for an interesting and trippy listen.
