Brooklyn’s Swampboots are preparing to release Defeatism! on August 2nd. Surviving the Golden Age is excited to premiere the new single “Salvage.”
Described as “vulnerable and raw,” “Salvage” started as a ballad before it was re-worked into its current form. Featuring driving drums and jangly, distorted guitars, the track could as easily be compared to Foo Fighters as early-00’s emo icons like The Anniversary or the Promise Ring. With lyrics about the emotional journey and turmoil of a romantic relationship, “Salvage” is a noisy banger from the heart.
