Munich’s True Blue is preparing to release his debut EP, Complex Pleasures in September. The lead single from the project is “On Track.” Beginning with a reverbed guitar line, the surf influences are immediately apparent. More jangly guitars are layered in until post-chorus synths come to the forefront. Lyrically, True Blue describes the track as revolving around “a character who is in a point in his life where he feels stuck and that he’s going nowhere. Overthinking and anxiety led him to miss too many opportunities and allurements so he’s relieving him of the compulsion that his decisions have to be agreed by everyone around.”
